A Webinar to Empower Latin American Producers Digitally

On June 26th, the World Environment Center (WEC), The Innovation and Impact Network (La Red de Innovación e Impacto), and Producers Market collaborated on a training session to help farmers and producers “Sprout Their Digital Presence”.

The Innovation and Impact Network (La Red de Innovación e Impacto) is a group of 37 organizations in 11 countries that support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) with the goal of encouraging sustainable economic growth and prosperity in Latin America and the Caribbean. The U.S. State Department financed the World Environment Center and allies with the goal of supporting select organizations working to empower MSMEs, effectively boosting sustainable economic growth throughout the region. The Network helps organizations scale their impact, optimizing their work results through financial resources, technical assistance, and connection to experts.

WEC, on the other hand, is a global, independent, non-profit organization that promotes sustainable development through the commercial practices and operations of their member organizations, government associations, multilateral organizations, non-governmental organizations, universities, and other interested parties.

WEC’s mission is to promote social and business value through the advancement of solutions to problems related to sustainable development.

The Webinar: Sprouting Your Digital Presence

While designed with the agricultural field in mind, this virtual workshop was open and available to anyone interested in branding, the art of storytelling, marketing, and establishing digital presence and community.

Diego Bodart, Director of Digital Media at Producers Market, hosted the webinar, facilitated by Patricia Breuer, the Network Project Manager of the innovation and impact network—WEC. Also in attendance were Keith Agoada, Producers Market’s CEO, and Ernesto Samayoa, Director of Operations for LATAM in WEC.

Behind all good branding, there is a great story.

That’s why one of the presentation’s main objectives was to share the key components of storytelling. Through Producers Market’s experience, it showcased how a producer’s story can be built to establish a differential value and purpose.

Useful digital marketing advice was shared, including: how to get to know and connect with your audience, building trust, and using social media to create calls to action and generate digital communities.

Producers Market is a digital platform that connects producers and consumers. We help producers establish a digital presence and share their stories online through a holistic approach to social media.
